What’s been happening Five men jailed for more than 35 years between them after West Midlands Police shut down a drugs line operating across Birmingham.Officers stopped a vehicle under S23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. Officers quickly identified that one of the occupants a child was reported as a missing person and considered high risk of exploitation. Child was returned safely to parent after working with partner agencies. Mini Moto seized after it had been ridden around dangerously near a local school. Parking tickets issues on Washwood Heath Road nearby Sladefield Road junction. Please ensure you are mindful of other road users and avoid parking on zig zags or parking dangerously on junctions. Leaflets handed out around Fox and Goose Shopping centre and Alum Rock Road high street to raise awareness of knife crime. The Life Or Knife website provides information on where to report or talk to someone about knives and where you can anonymously dispose of them (nearest one outside McDonalds on Belchers Lane by the Zebra Crossing). It also includes lots of information on the devastating impact knives can have on you and others, guidance on how to talk to your child about knives.
